About Us

NAAGA Los Angeles, formerly the Bobby Seale Gun Club, was re-organized and founded in January 2021 by a group of African American men and women intending to share their love and enthusiasm for firearms training, education, and understanding. Our goal is to have every son and daughter of the African Diaspora in the Southern California, Los Angeles, and surrounding areas introduced to firearm use for home protection, competitive shooting, and outdoor recreational activities. We are a pro 2nd amendment organization focused on the preservation of our community through armed protection and community building. While we are indeed a Gun Club, we are also an organization that seeks to uplift our people through philanthropy, community outreach, and service. NAAGA Los Angeles is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Gun Safety Rules

There are seven basic gun safety rules for gun owners to understand and practice at all times:

Rule 1:

Treat all guns as if they are loaded.

Rule 2:

Keep the gun pointed in the safest possible direction.

Rule 3:

Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.

Rule 4:

Know your target, its surroundings, and beyond.

Rule 5:

Know how to properly operate your gun.

Rule 6:

Store your gun safely and securely to prevent unauthorized use.

Rule 7:

Guns and ammunition should be stored separately.

Mission

The mission of the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA) is to establish a fellowship by educating on the rich legacy of gun ownership by African Americans, offering training that supports safe gun use for self defense and sportsmanship, and advocating for the inalienable right to self-defense for African Americans.

Education. Training. Safety. Self-Defense. Advocacy. For and By African Americans.

OUR LATEST CAUSES

The National African American Gun Association (NAAGA) is a patriotic law-abiding organization, but we recognize that there are national, local, and regional events that take place that need to be discussed and in some cases aggressively corrected through legal means as it relates to our community.

Our organization was formed to advocate self-defense with the use of firearms based on the 2nd Amendment, but a secondary and very important function of NAAGA is to be active on social issues. By collectively working together with a defined strategy, we can begin correcting social injustice.

Coming soon....

Queens of Defense (QOD), exists to unify the women of NAAGA by creating a safe space for learning, education, growth, and comradery within the 2A space. QOD offers a virtual platform for networking with like-minded women from across the country to share our stories and experiences — to support and uplift our fellow Queens! In our local chapters, QOD provides each Queen with in-person meet-ups, training, and opportunities for social interaction and networking. We work together to find our voices and pave a path forward for the coming generations. We are mentors, moms, and 2A advocates. Queens of Defense is everything a woman needs in a sisterhood like no other!
